So today was my first set of finals and I am pretty sure they went well. It is such a relief being done with two of the four finals. The truly sad part is that when I went to sell my books back I got so little for them that it was almost worthless. I hate how screwed up it is that you pay all this money to only get back such a small amount. I mean you only use the books for a few months and they depreciated more than half of their value and then the book store turns around and sells it for a huge mark-up. I know there are profits to be made but seriously that is just plain ridiculous. We aren’t exactly rich being college students and they are taking advantage of the fact that you have to have the books to complete the class. Now some may argue that “that is just the price of an education,” but my retort to that is “that is why I pay tuition.” I shouldn’t have to be screwed over royally for me to get an education. Well I will leave it at that. I am hoping I got at least a passing grade on my Trigonometry so I can finally be done with that class. I need to get going because I have an essay that is due tomorrow that I still need to write a little over a page on.
