Shadowing

Today was a very interesting day as I was able to shadow my ENT again. What made it extra special was that he agreed to have me come back and shadow him again during surgery for the next three weeks. Watching surgery helps me so much to confirm my desire to become a surgeon. It makes me want to work harder so that I can achieve my goal. I feel at home in the OR and that that is where I should be. It took me a few extra years to figure out what I want to do but now that I know, it makes it all worth it. I was able to watch three procedures today, two of which I had already seen. Anyway, it was really great to see more surgeries. I also talked to him about Medical School and how he was able to make it through. He said at points it was just brute force so to speak. He said he would study until he got it then would test himself until he got it completely.

I meant to post this yesterday but lost track of time and didn’t. So I am pretty pissed off right now. My uncle who has supposed to be making the payments on the car that is in my name has been less than punctual and now they are considering repossession. My credit is already shot and now it will be even worse. The worst part about it is that I trusted him. So far he has done nothing but let me down. He makes promises and doesn’t keep them. I don’t know what to do because I don’t have the money to make it right and I don’t want to bail him out either. He is old enough to take responsibility for his actions. The only problem is that I am the one that is going to be screwed if he doesn’t own up and make good on the debt he undertook. I don’t know what to do.

I am already done with my break from school. I want to be back and working on getting school done not sitting around watching TV but unfortunately the most I can do is study while the break is on. I guess overall it will be beneficial to have the relaxed schedule but I am a bit bored none-the-less. I only have three weeks left which I suppose will go by quickly enough. Tomorrow I get to start my first shift in the Emergency Department, I am very excited to be moving on and seeing something else besides Oncology.
