So here is what is new, this week I was able to sign my student loan promissory note which means I will be getting MONEY! It actually turns out that I will be getting more than I was anticipating which will be nice. I look forward to have a little cushion room for not only the semester but also for the school year. Essentially what it comes down to is that they will be giving me the amount of money during one semester that they would normally give over the course of two semesters. I just need to be disciplined and not spend money that I don’t have. Now the nice part of this is that most if not all of my expenses will be met with my paycheck. This will leave me plenty of wiggle room over the next academic year. This being said that is a huge load off my mind. I was stressing out more than you could possibly imagine, because for once I was on a good path and I didn’t want to get de-railed in my academic endeavors.
My classes are going pretty good, I have a test next week in Chemistry and I need to make sure that I am prepared for it because I can’t have a repeat of last semester. Most of the stuff that is going to be on this first test is going to be a review of nearly three semesters. Seriously if I don’t have it by now then that is really scary. I’m feeling pretty good about it. I need to do some studying of course as a refresher but for the most part I am feeling good.
My political science class is actually fairly boring; I find that my own research and what I read in the daily headlines is where I learn the most. That isn’t to say that I don’t need to go to class but I find that I am better suited to study outside of class and go from there. In a fairly exciting bit of news I was able to get my text book mailed to me for the cost of the eBook. Apparently they don’t know when the software to unlock the eBook will become Vista compatible so they are sending me a copy of the text book at no additional charge. I may be able to make a profit off of this deal if I do it right. I may end up keeping the book though.
On a bit of exciting news it is my best friend’s birthday tomorrow. I’m excited to be able to give her (in my opinion) an awesome birthday. The only sad part of it is that I won’t get to spend her birthday with her as she will be spending it with her family. I know it may not seem like a big deal but she is my family and I don’t get to spend this special day with her. She keeps on saying that our other friends don’t get to spend it with her so it isn’t a big deal but we have a completely different relationship than the rest of them. Anyway, I should get back to pseudo listening.
