San Diego Tea Party

It was a glorious day for protesting the government and their latest bailout packages. My wife and I attended the San Diego Tea Party that was a part of a larger nation-wide collection of Tea Parties. It was in part a remembrance of the Boston Tea Party and in part a current protest of the government and their desire to spend not only our money but our children’s money as well. It is sickening to think of these big businesses getting bailed out when they were so poorly managed. If they can’t weather the current economic crisis then they shouldn’t be in business in the first place. In this instance I am a fan of Darwinism! Only the strongest should survive! After all that is the point of a “Free Market” system. The most efficient businesses should produce while those that are inefficient should go out of business; this concept is simple Economics 101. The government isn’t bailing me out and I have plenty of bills that need to get paid. They aren’t allowing me to not pay my bills, so why on earth should these companies get all this extra money! I don’t care if there is going to be more government oversight and all that jazz. A company shouldn’t get that many chances to go bankrupt! For instance AIG is expected to be asking the government for 30 billion more! What on earth for? More to the point! WHY? This is absurd and extremely angering! One of the signs that were held was “Obama wants a loan from our children to spend money we don’t have on things WE DON’T NEED!” The sign says it all! I hope the politicians get the message but I doubt it!
