Change in perspective

The interesting part of starting your own business is how incredibly difficult it is, not to mention the change in perspective that it takes. When I was an employee I thought as an employee. I saw things very simplistically. Now that I am running my own company I think completely different. I try to see things from both the employee perspective and from the employer’s perspective. It is my responsibility to do what is right for everyone as much as it is in my power to do. When I thought as an employee I found that I was generally unhappy because it meant I was helping others with their dreams. It seemed that it was always what was good for business and rarely what was good for me. I am working hard on taking the lessons I learned as an employee and focusing on making it different for my employees. I was to be a different type of corporation, one that is obviously for profit but I feel equally important is to be able to assist others in fulfilling their dreams. I want people to come and work for me and stay for a very long time. I really want people to be so happy working for my company that they can’t picture working for or with anyone else. I feel that when I accomplish this that my company will be a success. On a VERY happy note, as of April 17th, 2009 my business is officially incorporated. This change is just one of many that will help take my business to the next level.
