Moving Target

No I am not talking about the store, although that would certainly be easier to hit. We now have a new professor for our Computer Science Lab. She is now trying to teach the way she thinks is best. I can’t blame her however it is certainly making life even more difficult than it was already. Her expectations are shall we say interesting. It has been like this all semester. It seems that no matter what we try the target keeps moving. I am grateful that the gospel isn’t like academia or the work force. The target never moves, it is reliable and great. No matter what life throws at you, you can rest assured that the purpose of this life doesn’t change. I learned something interesting today about programming. You are supposed to define constants outside the functions so that they can be used throughout all the functions. However you are suppose to define the variables only within the functions in which they are used. This makes sure that you don’t change a variable across multiple functions, which would in turn cause functions to stop working correctly if the variables are changed. Constants don’t change regardless of the situation. This comforts me, I like constants. Variables on the other hand scare me; it’s the unknown that makes life difficult. It’s the changeability of variables that make them difficult to determine.
