What I Want My Words to Do

I like blogging, I like to blog because I feel like I have a lot to contribute to the world. I like having a voice. My voice may be small and very few may listen but someone, somewhere may listen and that is good enough. I think it is by small means that great changes can be made. I think that if just one person is able to feel better or do better in their life because of my blog then I have done what I have set out to do. I feel like I have a voice of reason. It may not be the most popular of reasons but they are my reasons. I also like feeling connected to the world. I wish the world would be more connected with me. Sometimes I will look back on some of my old blog posts and it is as though someone else had written it (I assure you that I have but the words seem to come from someone else, someone greater than myself).

I want my words to evoke thought and change in you; I want you to perhaps see something different than you had previously. I want my words to encourage greatness in you. I want my words to help you feel as though you can do anything that you choose. I want my words to inspire you to never settle for mediocrity again. I want my words to touch your heart and move you to action to make a difference in someone else’s life. I want my words to guide you in your pursuit of happiness. I want my words to help you know that you are truly not alone.

What we say can and does make a difference; the old saying that “sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me” is a lie. Words can hurt but they can also heal. Everyone has a voice and unfortunately not everyone uses it. People think they are insignificant or that no one would listen. It is true some people won’t listen but you just have to speak louder. You have to make people listen sometimes, but they will listen!

Thank you! That means a lot to me. I’ve been blogging for a while and was unsure if I was reaching anyone. I appreciate you taking the time to comment.

I just needed to say that I discovered your weblog via Goolge and I am glad I did. Carry on the good work and I will make sure to bookmark you for when I have much more free of charge time away from the books. Thanks!
