Today was Les Mills Combat 30 & Core Attack. I woke up and really didn’t want to go but I got dressed to work out anyway. I started with a 30 minute walk, then began the program. I found that I lost steam about half way through the workout. It was a total of an hour and a half from start to finish. I didn’t give up but man at the end it was tough.
I struggle a lot with drinking water, I know some people love water. I am not one of those people. So for me to drink a lot of water I have to add a bit of Mio to it. It gives it some flavor and allows me to suck it down. I need to work on that. I have committed myself to only drink water from now on.
After my work out I was planning on taking a test for my current class for my MBA, my wife called and wanted to know if I wanted to spend lunch with her. She had planned to come home and I was going to have my Shakeology and she would have a sandwich. She walked in the door and says, “I have good news and I have bad news” She told me that the good news was that she was home and the bad news was that she locked her keys in her car.
I went out with a coat hanger and attempted to unlock the car, I was unsuccessful. While I had attempted to unlock the car, my wife had called lock smiths to see how much they charge. Now mind you, we don’t have a lot of money now because rent is coming up so spending it on a lock smith although important, couldn’t have come at a worse time. I came back in and had to take the test, after I completed the test I sent out a message on Facebook asking for help. One of my friends offered to help by letting us use his AAA card to have them come unlock the car.
When he got here (they need the card owner to be present) we waited and talked a bit, my wife came home and we waited for the AAA. While we talked a neighbor of ours came over and offered to help. I was a bit skeptical to say the least. It took him less than five minutes to get into our car (where was he several hours ago). We went on our merry way as though nothing had happened. Needless to say both him and our friend will be getting a special treat as our way of saying thank you.
