To begin a new blog, you really have to ask yourself, are you willing to deal with what comes? I have started several in the past and I have met with mixed results.  I always loved blogging but found that I did not receive the interaction I was hoping to, couple that with the cost of setting up my website and maintaining that, to say I was disappointed was a bit of an understatement.  What kind of clinched it for me to re-start my blog were a couple of things.

First, I was spending more money on a less customizable website that was geared toward professionals.  Although I could customize it some, I didn’t feel for the amount of money I was spending that I could do what I wanted to with it.  Second, I found that I am more likely to write when I have a purpose.  I realized that I am extremely blessed, certainly I have had things go wrong in my life and plenty of things I could have done differently, but overall I have had many wonderful things happen.  There are always going to be storms in life, however, it is a choice to allow them to defeat you.  I have known several people who allow the storms to dictate how happy they are.  My thoughts are “where thou art, act well thy part”.  You can be in the deepest abyss or on the highest mountain top, but if you have a bad attitude and make poor choices it does not matter where you are, life can be miserable.  So regardless of what happens to you, be happy, because you may not be able to change what happens to you but you can choose how you react.

My intent in starting this blog (again) is to share my experiences in obtaining my MBA in Financial Management and attending law school. Now, that being said I reserve the right to write about anything I feel important to share with you.  There are so many things I like to write about that it would be foolish to limit myself to only academic topics.  I am currently studying for the LSAT that I will be taking in December. I have already taken it once and did not do as well as I know I am capable of, so rather than accept that, I decided to re-take and improve my score.  There are many naysayers out there that say that improving my score much cannot be done, to them I say “Watch me!”.  My will to succeed will overcome any amount of statistical information.  After all, statistics are indicators not absolutes.  Just because something has been shown to be true in the past does not mean that it will always be true in the future.  There have been many instances of this in history.

I am looking forward to sharing with you many important ideas, I welcome outside thoughts and ideas.  I am not so myopic in my views to believe that my thoughts are the only ones that are valid.  That being said, please remain respectful to not only myself but others.  We can disagree about ideas and concepts without being rude or disrespectful to each other.  I reserve the right to block an individual if I feel like they are creating a hostile environment.  You are free to express your views as you see fit as long as you do not attack one another.
