In The Book of Mormon one of the men known as Alma the younger, was characterized as “the very vilest of sinners.” (Mosiah 28:4). “He became a very wicked and an idolatrous man. And he was a man of many words, and did speak much flattery to the people; therefore he led many of the people to do after the manner of his iniquities. 179th Semi-Annual General Conference

Today is the first day of 179th Semi-Annual General Conference of The Church of Jesus-Christ of Latter-day Saints. Every six months the church holds a General Conference, this conference is held to build and uplift the Saints. It is much like when Jesus taught the Sermon on the Mount.  It is also like when King Benjamin addressed his people in The Book of Mormon.  The leaders of our church instruct and teach us principles of the gospel.
